BARING-GOULD, SABINE (1834-1924)

Sabine Baring-Gould, anglicano, nació en Exeter, Inglaterra, el 28 de enero de 1834 y murió en Lew Trenchard, Devonshire, el 2 de enero de 1924.

Fue educado en Clare College, Cambridge (licenciatura en humanidades, 1854), siendo ordenado diácono en 1864 y pastor al año siguiente. A partir de ahí ejerció sucesivamente como coadjutor de Horbury, Yorkshire (1864-66), vicario de Dalton, Yorkshire (1866-71) y rector de East Mersea, Essex (1871-81). Heredó las propiedades familiares de Lew-Trenchard en 1872 y desde 1881 fue rector de Lew-Trenchard, Devonshire.
