BUNNY, EDMUND (1540-1619)
Publicó: The Whole Summe of Christian Religion, given forth by two severallmethodes or formes: the one higher, for the better learned, the other applyed to the capacitie of the common multitude, and meete for all, &c., 1576; Institutionis Christianae Religionis, a Jo. Calvino conscriptse, compendium, &c. 1576; The Scepter of Judah; or what maner of government it was, that unto the common-wealth or church of Israel was by the will of God appointed, 1584; A Book of Christian Exercise, appertaining to Resolution, perused and accompanied now with a Treatise tending to Pacification, 1584 (la primera parte es la primera mitad de un tratado de Robert Parsons, el jesuita, con alteraciones de Bunny; la segunda, en 1594 y 1598, es suya propia. Parsons publicó su obra de forma anónima, con las iniciales R. P. many yeeres since was answered, Oxford, 1610. Wood hizo uso de A Defence of his Labour in the Work of the Ministry (escrito el 20 de enero de 1602 y circulado en manuscrito entre sus amigos, para rechazar el cargo de promocionarse a sí mismo como predicador) y menciona que Bunny había traducido (aparentemente con Durham y teniendo la sustancia de las revisiones) la Imitatio Jesu Christi.
