COLE, THOMAS (1627-1697)

Thomas Cole, ministro disidente y teólogo inglés, nació en Londres en 1627 y murió en esa ciudad el 16 de septiembre de 1697. Fue director del colegio de Saint-Mary, donde tuvo por discípulo al célebre filósofo Locke, y después predicador de la congregación independiente de Pinner's Hall. Escribió: Discourses of Regeneration, Faith and Repentance (Londres, 1689), The Incomprehensibleness imputed righteousness for Justification by human reason, till enlightened by the spirit of God (Londres, 1692) y Discourses on the Christian religion (Londres, 1700).
