COLLIER, JOSEPH AVERY (1828-1864)

Joseph Avery Collier, ministro protestante norteamericano, nació en Plymouth, Massachusetts, el 26 de octubre de 1828 y murió en Kinderhook, Nueva York, el 13 de agosto de 1864. Se graduó en Rutgers en 1849 y después de completar sus estudios en el seminario de la Iglesia reformada de New Brunswick, fue sucesivamente pastor de Bronxville, Greenville, Geneva (1855-59) y finalmente de Kinsgton. Publicó: The Right Way, or the Gospel applied to the Intercourse of Individuals and Nations (Nueva York, 1854), The Christian Home (Filadelfia, 1859), The Young Men of the Bible (Nueva York, 1861), Little Crowns and how to Coin them (1862), Pleasant Paths for Little Feat (1864) y Dawn of Heaven, póstuma, publicada, con una biografía, en 1865.
