DALE, ROBERT WILLIAM (1829-1895)

Robert William Dale nació en Londres el 1 de diciembre de 1829 y murió en Birmingham el 13 de marzo de 1895.

Estudió en Spring Hill College, Birmingham (máster en humanidades, universidad de Londres, 1853) y fue pastor asociado de Carr's Lane Congregational Church, Birmingham, 1853-59, siendo el único pastor tras esa última fecha hasta su muerte. En 1869 fue presidente de la Unión Congregacional de Inglaterra y Gales y en 1877 dio conferencias en Yale. En 1885 fue nombrado por la corona miembro del comité para el estudio del sistema inglés de educación primaria. También fue gobernador del King Edward VI's School, Birmingham.
