Augusta Theodosia Drane nació en Bromley St. Leonard, Middlesex, Inglaterra el 28 de diciembre de 1823 y murió en Stone, Staffordshire, el 29 de abril de 1894.
Augusta Theodosia DraneFue educada privadamente y hasta la edad de 27 años fue miembro de la Iglesia anglicana. Sin embargo, por influencia del movimiento tractariano se convirtió al catolicismo en 1850 y tras una residencia de seis meses en Roma, 1851-52, fue recibida como postulante en el convento dominico en Clifton el 4 de octubre de 1852. Tradujo la obra de P. Chocarne, Le Révérend Père H. D.
