FIELD, HENRY MARTYN (1822-1907)

Henry Martyn Field nació en Stockbridge, Massachusetts, el 3 de abril de 1822 y murió allí el 29 de diciembre de 1907.

Estudió en William College (licenciatura en humanidades, 1838), East Windsor Hill Theological Seminary (1838-41) y Yale Divinity School (1841-42), siendo pastor en St. Louis, Missouri (1842-47) y West Springfield, Massachusetts (1850-54). Desde 1854 a 1900 fue editor y propietario de The Evangelist, un semanario presbiteriano, publicado en Nueva York. Sus relatos de viajes gozaron de gran reputación.
