STEPHEN GEREE (1594- c. 1656)

Stephen Geree, hermano mayor de John Geree, nació en Yorkshire en 1594 y murió en 1656. En 1611 ingresó en Magdalen Hall, Oxford, donde se graduó el 5 de mayo de 1615. Fue ordenado, siendo vicario de Wonersh, Surrey, y alrededor de 1641 se convirtió en rector de Abinger, Surrey. Fue un firme puritano. Además de algunos sermones, incluyendo un sermón fúnebre por Elizabeth Machel (1639), publicó: The Doctrine of the Antinomians... confuted, &c., 1644 (en respuesta a Tobias Crisp); The Golden Meane... Considerations... for the more frequent administration of the Lord's Supper &c., 1656.
