MOORE, WILLIAM EVES (1823-1899)

William Eves Moore, presbiteriano americano, nació en Strasbourg, Pensilvania, el 1 de abril de 1823 y murió en Columbus, Ohio, el 5 de junio de 1899. Se graduó en Yale College, New Haven, Connecticut, 1847; estudió teología bajo Lyman H. Atwater en Fairfield, Connecticut; fue pastor en West Chester, Pensilvania, 1850, y en Columbus, Ohio, 1872. Desde 1884 fue secretario permanente de la Asamblea General de la Iglesia presbiteriana. Fue autor de The New Digest of the Acts and Deliverances of the Presbyterian Church, New School (Filadelfia, 1861) y The Presbyterian Digest, United Church (1873).
