MUNGER, THEODORE THORNTON (1830-1910)

Theodore Thornton Munger, congregacional americano, nació en Bainbridge, Nueva York, el 5 de marzo de 1830 y murió en New Haven el 11 de enero de 1910.

Se graduó en Yale College (licenciatura en humanidades, 1851) y Yale Divinity School (1855), tras lo cual desempeñó tareas pastorales en Dorchester, Massachusetts (1856-60), Haverhill, Massachusetts (1862-70), Lawrence, Massachusetts (1870-75), San José, California (1875-76), North Adams, Massachusetts (1876-1885) y United Church, New Haven, Connecticut (tras 1885; tras 1891 pastor emérito). Escribió: On the Threshold (Boston, 1881); The Freedom of Faith (1883); Lamps and Paths (1885); The Appeal to Life (1887); Character through Inspiration (Nueva York, 1897); Horace Bushnell, Preacher and Theologian (Boston, 1809) y Essays for the Day (1904).
