TYMMS, THOMAS VINCENT (1842-1921)

Thomas Vincent Tymms, bautista inglés, nació en en Westminster, Londres, el 6 de enero de 1842 y murió el 25 de mayo de 1921. Fue educado en Regent's Park College, Londres. Ocupó puestos pastorales en Berwick-on-Tweed (1865-1868), Accrington (1868-69) y Downs Chapel, Clapton, Londres (1869-91). Desde 1891 hasta su retiro de la vida activa en 1904 fue presidente y profesor de teología en Rawdon College, Leeds. Fue profesor de Angus en Regent's Park College en 1903, y escribió: The Mystery of God (Londres, 1885), el ensayo "Christian Theism" en The Ancient Faith in Modern Light (Edimburgo, 1897); The Christian Idea of Atonement (Londres, 1904) y The Private Relationships of Christ (1907).
