George Howard Wilkinson, primado de la Iglesia episcopal escocesa y obispo de St. Andrews, Dunkeld y Dunblane, nació en Oswald House, Durham, Inglaterra, el 12 de mayo de 1833 y murió en Edimburgo, Escocia, el 11 de diciembre de 1907.
George Howard WilkinsonFue educado en Oriel College, Oxford (licenciatura en humanidades, 1855), siendo ordenadodiácono en 1857 y sacerdote de la Iglesia episcopal escocesa en 1858. Fue coadjutor de Kensington (1857-59), coadjutor perpetuo de Seaham Harbour (1859-63), de Auckland, Durham (1863-67) y de St. Peter, Great Windmill Street, Westminster (1867-70) y vicario de St. Peter, Pimlico (1870-83); canónigo honorario de St. Petroc en la catedral de Truro (1878-83), predicador escogido en Oxford (1879-81) y supervisor de la diócesis de Londres (1880-83). En 1883 fue consagrado obispo de Truro, de donde fue trasladado, en 1893, a las diócesis de St. Andrews, Dunkeld y Dunblane. En 1904 fue escogido primado de la Iglesia episcopal en Escocia.
